To be a faith-filled community being changed and inspired by the power of God’s Holy Spirit, and who make a difference in the world, by growing more passionate as followers of Jesus Christ.
Being God’s people gathering together, growing in faith, and going into the world in Jesus’ name.
As a congregation we are growing in our commitment to reach out to our community and to the world around us through service projects and financial support.
Small group ministries for adults, as well as children and youth ministries are expanding to meet the needs of this mission.
In December of 1893 a small group of mostly immigrants from Sweden gathered together in hopes of forming a congregation under the Scandinavian Evangelical Lutheran Augustana Synod of North America. They met at a church that was rented from the Superior Board of Education for a monthly fee of $20 per month. That small group founded Zion Lutheran Church.
Zion is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and of the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin.
