Bible Study
Wednesday afternoon no-prep bible study will start back on September 10th at 1:30pm. Each week you are invited to come and learn about the texts that will be read in worship the following Sunday. You are invited to bring a study bible if you have one.
Sunday morning bible study will begin on September 14th at 9:00am. Grab a cup of coffee and join in discussion with others before worship each week. You are invited to bring a study bible if you have one. We will begin our study this year reading through the gospel of Matthew.
WELCA
Here at Zion the Women of the ELCA (WELCA) are very committed in “gathering together and going out in the world”.
All women of Zion are members of WELCA it is a matter of choice to become involved. WELCA meets the second Sunday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
Throughout the year, WELCA holds several fund raisers; December cookie & craft sale, spring luncheon, and summer bakeless bake sale. Funds raised are used to further the ministry of WELCA such as church kitchen renovations, quilts for the high school graduates, and helping out our Zion brothers and sisters in Christ. WELCA reaches out to the community by donating Christmas gifts to the needy, supporting CASDA, Harbor House, and the local food shelf.
Musicians & Singers
Our music ministry has something for everyone! If you like to sing in a choir, play your instrument solo or with others, or be part of a group of musicians, Zion has a place for you.
Anyone who is high school age or older is welcome to join! All skill levels are welcome, and you’ll learn along the way!
Church Choir
Open to high school students and up, all are welcome! Rehearsals are held Thursdays at 6:15pm. Come join this fun and fulfilling group in fellowship of song. Contact Gretchen Johnston, OSB at sgretchenosb@gmail.com with any questions on the program or how to join.
Bell Choir
Open to high school students and up, all are welcome! Rehearsal day and time to be determined. Join this unique ensemble in creating beautiful music that enhances Sunday worship several times a year. Praise Band
The Praise Band leads worship in spirit-led music. If you play a musical instrument or love to sing, all are welcome to join the Praise Band. If you are interested in becoming a part of our praise band, we enthusiastically welcome new vocalists and instrumentalists to join our team.
