Trunk or Treat

This event is held either on the Sunday or Wednesday before October 31. The purpose of Trunk or Treat is to love and care for our community by providing fun and safe places where they can trick or treat for Halloween. The event is held in the church parking lot. A contest is held for the best decorated trunk.

WELCA Cookie Sale

The second Saturday in December is the time to come and get your cookies, shop from vendors, and check out our raffle with many wonderful items.

Free Community Christmas Day Dinner

Have you been hungry, struggling to keep food on the table, a single parent, homeless, or simply alone on Christmas? We at Zion Lutheran are helping OUR fellow neighbors and friends by providing free food through our food shelf and community meals.

On Christmas Day we will be serving a free sit-down community meal to celebrate Christmas, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. There are opportunities to volunteer your time and talents or to provide financial support to help feed our neighbors and community friends. For more information, please contact the church office. Together we can make a difference!

Zion Food Shelf

Right next to Zion’s front door is the Zion Food Shelf. The cupboard contains non-perishable foods and personal care items that are available 24/7 for anyone who may need it. Take what you need, give what you can!

We are always taking donations for supplies so that we are able to restock the cupboard when needed. Donations of food items, hygiene items, apparel, or financial gifts are always welcome! You may bring your gifts to the church office. If the office is closed, donations can go right onto the shelves! Below is a list of needed supplies, and is available in bulletin announcements and newsletters. The list will be updated to reflect supplies that can survive being outside during the cold winter!
